Forgotten Children's Fund

FCF Chelan County

The Chelan County branch of The Forgotten Children’s Fund began on Christmas Eve in 2004 when the Darlington and Rayfield families united to help Santa and his Elves deliver bikes, gifts, food and a little bit of magic to 20 deserving families.

The desire to start a satellite program of the FCF came after Doug Darlington felt compelled to do more. Born and raised in a small town, Doug knew all too well that underprivileged children are not unique to large cities.

He then approached his mother, Helen Rayfield, owner of a local cafe, for aid in getting the program started, thus the beginning of the Eastern Washington Chapter of FCF. The Family has worked together to organize, to bring awareness to the cause, and work with local business and residents for donations.

As we enter into the current holiday season, FCF-Chelan County is working hard raising money and finding candidates who truly need our support this Christmas with the support of family and friends. After much success in 2004, our mission still remains the same, to create a program that will impact the life of a child with a memory that will never be forgotten.
