Board Of Trustees 2007 John O’Brien – Chairman of the Board John O'Brien is a graduate of Seattle University with a degree in Business Administration, two time All American basket ball player and six year major league baseball player. Elected to 3 terms as King County, Washington Commissioner with an additional 18 years as manager and director of operations of the King Dome in Seattle. Has been with The Forgotten Children’s Fund for 30 years the last three as Chairman.
Royal “Buzz” Larson – Vice President Royal “Buzz” Larson is the owner of a manufacturer’s representative firm servicing the hardware and lawn & garden industries. Captain in the U.S. Army, Past President of Seattle Pot and Kettle Club. Has been with The Forgotten Children’s Fund for 30 years and joined the board of trustees in 1978.
Kent Chaplin – Treasurer Kent Chaplin is President of Chaplin's Automotive Group. Founder and Director of Eastside Commercial Bank in Bellevue, partner with the Seattle Thunderbird Hockey Team and a member of the Subaru Chairman's Roundtable. Kent and his wife Barbara are very active with numerous non-profits and have a passion for helping children.
Debbie Acton – Secretary Debbie Acton is a Realtor in the Greater Seattle Area. She has participated in FCF activities for more than 15 years and is involved in many of it’s activities including the Rick Acton Memorial Golf Tournament. She is also an active member of Rotary International and involved with Children’s Hospital in Seattle.
Patti Nord Blevins – Member Patti Nord Blevins is employed as an international import consultant for Horizon Marketing specializing in Far East trade. Has been with the Forgotten Children’s Fund since 1978. Began the Pierce County FCF in 1999 which presently services over 400 children in 140 families. .Active with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and the Parent to Parent program at Children's Hospital in Seattle.
Patricia Davis – Member Patricia Davis is the Creative Resources Manager for Publicis is the West on lower Queen Anne in Seattle. She is active in the community thru her church, St John the Evangelist; and the Seattle Poverty Action Network working for positive change. She's lived in Seattle most of her life and has worked for KIRO TV, Microsoft, and Edmark. She has an 18 year old daughter in college. She has been a volunteer with the Forgotten Children's Fund since 1984.
Dick Francisco – Member Dick Francisco is one of the founding members of The Forgotten Children’s Fund and along with Don Rall planted the seeds that developed into today’s “Ranch Experience Program” at the M Bar C Ranch on Whidbey Island. His long military career and background in sales and marketing have been instrumental in the development of the programs over the years.
Barbara Fruhling – Member Barbara Fruhling has been associated with Forgotten Children's Fund for twenty five years, formerly Secretary of the Board of Directors, she continues to serve on the Board and is responsible for the purchase of all gifts distributed to children and family members each Christmas. She developed, owns and directs The Sequoias Senior Apartments for seventy independent seniors in Kenmore. Barbara has been an active supporter and volunteer for Ryther Child Center for many years
Larry Longfelder - Member Larry Longfelder has been a Seattle attorney since 1970. President of the Forgotten Children’s Fund Board of Trustees from 1985-2003. He is now President Emeritus and continues his involvement with FCF in providing legal services and fund raising. President of the Washington Wine Festival, a charity auction to benefit Fare Start.
Doug Moeller – Member Doug retired from a 25 year career with the McDonald's Corporation in 2000 as a Director of McDonald's China. He has been involved with The Forgotten Children's Fund for 16 years as a Santa, an M-C Ranch volunteer and has headed the Santa Claus program for the last five years. He has previously served on the boards of Ronald McDonald's Children's Charities and Medina Children's Services.
Dick Nord – Member Dick Nord is the President of Nord Northwest Corporation, a land development organization that is located in Skagit County Washington. Dick is Chairman of the Northwest Workforce Development Council, and a charter member of the Skagit Valley Marine Corps League. He started as a volunteer for the Forgotten Children's Fund in the mid 1970's and became a member of the Board of Trustees in the mid 1980's and has volunteered over the years at the Forgotten Children's M-C Ranch.
Don Rall – Member Don Rall was a Regional Supervisor for Seattle Parks and Recreation from 1960-1977 and a self employed sales representative from then until his retirement in 2006. Has been actively involved with The Forgotten Children's Fund for 30 years. Don along with Dick Francisco began the Ranch Experience Program at the M Bar C Ranch on Whidbey Island.
Lou Tice – Member Lou Tice is the founder and President of the Pacific Institute in Seattle and has been involved on numerous boards benefiting children throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Dan Wood - Member Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Dan Wood began his marine industry career serving, for five years, as an alternate skipper and engineer fishing king crab in the Bering Sea. In 2000 Dan delivered a yacht to the Crow's Nest in Newport Beach, CA and discovered the owners planned on opening a Seattle office, he then joined their brokerage business. Dan has been a long time supporter of The Forgotten Children’s Fund.
